• What is the PRS?
  The Police Reporting System (PRS) is a user-friendly application, designed to assist field officers in filling out the NJTR-1 police report.

• Can I install the PRS on my laptop?
  Yes, you can install the PRS on your laptop or mobile unit.

• Can I export cases from my laptop to other computers?
  Yes, you can export all cases; this can be done via floppy disk or by connecting your laptop to a network.

• Can I create a diagram as part of the Crash Report?
  Yes, you can create a diagram. The PRS has a built-in utility that allows you to embed a diagram within the NJTR-1 or as an additional page.

  Yes, the diagram generator is an integrated part of PRS, at no additional cost.

• Can the PRS be installed as a multi-user program?
  Yes, the PRS was designed to be a multi-user, as well as, single-user program. The PRS uses Microsoft SQL 2000 as a back-end database.

• Can I search for cases to review and/or reprint?
  Yes, you can search for cases via various criteria: date, name, case number, etc.

• Can I buy the PRS online?
  No, you can only purchase via purchase order.

• After installing the PRS, how do I begin using the program?
  When all 3 steps of the installation are completed, you can begin using the program by entering "Administrator", for the user name, and "a", for the password (do not enter quotation marks). After you log in, create the users. Each user profile contains unique, officer information, such as: badge number, name, etc. In order to change the department information, you must enter "aztkadm", for user name, and "aztkcasenum", for a password (do not enter double quotes). This information is then used by the PRS to create a unique, internal case numbers, and populate the police dept. number and municipality code.

• Can I create multiple users, so other officers can share my program?
  Yes, you can create multiple users. We actually encourage this, so more users can become familiar with and eperience the PRS.

• What are the restrictions of the evaluation copy I downloaded from the FormsTech web site?
  The PRS application is a fully-functional program, with only 2 limitations:
  1) A banner will be printed across the report and diagrams.
  2) Exporting and importing cases will not be allowed without a license.

• If I buy the key from Forms Tech, would I lose the cases I created while testing?
  No, any cases you may have created remain in the database after you unlock the program.
